Why do I do what I do? The simple answers are, because I can, and because I must. The more complicated answer is, because everyone sees
the world as clean, photographic imagery. Yes, there’s motion implicit in a photograph, or even in a beautifully rendered painting or drawing. But with my art, I show the motion and emotion of the subject. It’s gesture. It’s movement. It’s a balance between the real and the abstract.
